Toni Blankmann ’74

Toni Blankmann ’74 said her experience at IC prepared her for a successful career — she retired from Shell Oil Company — not only with a strong education, but leadership, problem-solving, communication and team skills. Some of her closest friends, to this day, are her Sigma Phi Epsilon sisters.

“IC will always have a special place in my heart."

"I feel that I have been very blessed and attribute part of that to the education, skills and friendships I developed at IC. I want to share those blessings and experiences with others, especially those who cannot afford to attend college.”

Toni said she is pleased to see the continued growth, both in programs and buildings, that allow IC to provide a high-quality education and college experience for students.

She is a trustee and a member of the Illinois College Society and the Sturtevant Society.

Toni’s past giving focused primarily on the IC Fund and scholarships. When she learned about the planned renovations of Crispin Hall, she decided to increase her gift to the Campaign and use it as a match to encourage her fellow alumni to help make the vision a reality.

“Realizing what a difference the Crispin renovation can make for students and the College, I decided to step up my giving and offer a match to help complete this renovation.”
