SEND IC

SEND IC (Supporting Education for Neurodivergent Students)

The SEND IC (Supporting Education for Neurodivergent Students) program begins with a ten day experience prior to the start of the academic year. You will spend the first week getting to know one another online, then spend the next week getting to know each other in-person on campus prior to the start of Welcome Week. During SEND IC, students work closely with Illinois College faculty members strengthening skills in reading, writing and mathematics, improving organization and study skills, and gaining a clearer sense of how a liberal arts college prepares students to achieve their life and career goals.

The program features a variety of workshops that are specifically geared on supporting neurodivergent students in their transition between high school and college. This is a program which centralizes a set of experiences which are unique to neurodivergent students.
