College welcomes new VP of development and alumni relations
Wagner joined the College in March, bringing over 16 years of development and fundraising expertise from various institutions throughout the Midwest and the east coast.
Wagner comes to IC most recently from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, where he served as vice president for advancement. He previously served as associate vice president for development at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, and at The Prairie School, an independent private school in Wisconsin, as their senior advancement officer.

Wagner joins Stephanie Elpers Chipman, vice president of enrollment management and college marketing; Catharine O'Connell, provost and dean of the College; Tim Weis, vice president of business affairs and chief financial officer; and Leslie Smith DeFrates `89, director of presidential projects and priorities, as part of the President’s Cabinet. The President’s Cabinet functions to strategically achieve the College’s mission and vision, with an emphasis on student success, innovation, international visibility and diversified resources.
Wagner earned a bachelors of arts in economics from Lawrence University. He and his wife, Patty, have three sons – Ben, a junior at Transylvania University; Sam, a freshman at Stetson University; and Tim, a high school junior.
