Fine Arts Series brings New Chicago Brass to campus

Illinois College has announced the concert lineup for its 2018-2019 Fine Arts Series entitled “Sound Sensations.”

The first concert of the season will feature New Chicago Brass on Friday, September 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel. New Chicago Brass is a 10-member ensemble made up of Chicago’s finest young professional brass musicians in various combinations of trumpets, horns, trombones and tuba. 

The group has wowed audiences throughout Chicagoland and the nation with their wide-ranging repertoire, from Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary. Members regularly perform with the Chicago Symphony, MusicNOW, Music of the Baroque, Lyric Opera of Chicago, as well as teach at colleges and universities throughout the country.

Individual tickets for the Illinois College Fine Arts Series are $15, and season tickets, which include all five concerts, are available for $60 each. Students of all ages receive free admission. Tickets are available for purchase in advance by phone at 217.245.3260 or at the door.
