Illinois College Celebrates 45th Season of Fine Arts Series

9.03.2024

The Illinois College Fine Arts Series celebrates the announcement of its 45th season, including a special performance by the Vienna Boys Choir.

The Illinois College 2024-2025 Fine Arts Series will once again offer a variety of performances  for every audience.

The season begins on Saturday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by the Equinox Chamber Players in Rammelkamp Chapel. In addition to our opening concert, we would like to invite you to a wine and cheese event in the Kirby Rotunda at 6:30pm before the 7:30 concert. The family favorite, Tales at Twilight, will return on Wednesday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m. on the Illinois College Upper Quad. This year's event will feature Jacksonville's Mike Anderson ’74 and St. Louis’ Bob and Sherry Norfolk, who will share their engaging stories at different locations around campus.

The series will also bring back the Engelbach-Hart Music Festival, which offers three free concerts open to the community. The festival begins with the acclaimed Vienna Boys Choir on Wednesday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel, followed by an Illinois College Faculty Collage Concert on Thursday, November 14 and will conclude Friday, November 15 with Grammy-nominated piano duo, ZOFO.

Other season highlights include organist Elisa Bickers in October, a return performance by Khasma Piano Duo in February, followed by a performance by Ensemble Chaconne in March.

The 45th season concludes in April with a FREE concert by the Airlifter Brass, the brass quintet from the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America known for their versatility and outstanding musicianship.

Adult season tickets are available for $70, which is a $15 savings over purchasing tickets individually. Adult tickets to individual concerts are available for $20 per concert, except for the family program “Tales at Twilight” when adult tickets will be just $5. As always, students of all ages and children are admitted free of charge to all concerts. Tickets are available for purchase in advance by phone at 217.245.3192.
