President Farley re-elected to Passavant board of directors
Illinois College President Barbara A. Farley was reelected to the Passavant Area Hospital Board of Directors during the annual meeting of the hospital’s Board of Governors at Hamilton’s on Oct. 10.
Farley will serve a new four-year term.
The Board of Directors is the ultimate policy-making authority for the governance of Passavant Area Hospital. The Board of Directors is comprised of 16 members, each serving a four-year term. Directors are elected by the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is comprised of representatives from 139 churches in the Passavant service area. The board of directors meets every other month on the third Monday at the hospital.
Farley joined Illinois College as its 14th president in 2013. During her presidency, Illinois College has reached new heights in donor engagement and giving, celebrated breakthroughs in academic innovation, upgraded its world-class learning facilities and experienced an all-time high in enrollment.
In recent years, under Farley's leadership, Illinois College has expanded offerings in nursing. IC now offers a 2+2 Nursing Program with St. John’s College of Nursing, several articulation agreements with regional colleges and a new fully online RN to BSN degree program. The online RN to BSN degree is an affordable program designed for busy working professionals and can be completed in as little as 12 months.
