Bio
Patricia Kiihne is active in the Illinois Section of the Mathematical Association of America where she has served in many board roles: Director-at-Large, Director for Private Colleges, and currently as Secretary-Treasurer. For three years she ran a program for middle school and high school science and math teachers on differentiated education and gender. Her dissertation work was in abstract algebra (factorization in commutative rings).
I enjoy answering students' questions and working with them to solve problems. Some of the best learning happens in my office as we're working on homework assignments.
