Students must decide whether to accept all loans, reduce some loans, or decline some or all loans. Illinois College uses an electronic acceptance form.
- Returning students: You will submit your Financial Aid Acceptance Form through Connect2. Log into Connect2 and click on the Students tab. You will find the link to the online Financial Aid Acceptance Form within the Student Financial Services page.
- New students: You will submit your Financial Aid Acceptance Form through your Admissions portal. Once you log into the portal, click on “Acceptance Form” within your checklist.
- Distance Education students: You will submit your Financial Aid Acceptance Form through Connect2. Log into Connect2 and click on the Online Students tab. You will find the link to the online Financial Aid Acceptance Form within the Student Financial Services page.
If you do not have student loans listed on your financial aid award, you do not need to complete an acceptance form.
Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note
If you are planning to borrow your student loans, all borrowers are required to complete entrance counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) to accept their loans with the U.S. Department of Education. Students only have to complete these documents once and will be listed as “missing” on your financial aid award letter or checklist.
The Direct Loan Entrance Counseling and MPN are completed online. You will need to log into studentaid.gov using your FSA Username and password. We will be notified once you have completed the documents.
