Illinois College to honor veterans with celebration

11.07.2018

Illinois College will hold a Veterans Day celebration on Monday, November 12, at 11 a.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel.

The free event is open to the public and will feature Mary Tallouzi, a spokesperson from the Wounded Warrior Project, who has traveled across the country sharing her inspirational message.

Tallouzi is the mother of two sons who proudly served in the United States Army and were both deployed to Iraq. She provided full-time care for one of her sons after he was severely injured while deployed to Iraq in 2006 until his death in 2009.

The event is hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and will also feature a slideshow honoring local veterans with a connection to the College.
