We know that this is an important time for Iowa Wesleyan students as they consider where to continue their academic career and we want students to feel welcome at IC.

All Iowa Wesleyan students in good academic and social standing will be accepted to Illinois College.

IIllinois College has been working to develop ways to serve students affected by the permanent closure of Iowa Wesleyan University. Located in Mount Pleasant, IA, the institution announced March 28 that it would close at the end of the semester in May.

IC is working with the Higher Learning Commission to develop a teach-out partnership for Iowa Wesleyan students that will maximize the credits they can transfer and make the transition easier so they can graduate on time. Additionally, special scholarships will be offered to support  Iowa Wesleyan students.

Illinois College will be in attendance at the college fair being held on the Iowa Wesleyan University campus April 10. IC admissions counselors will be available to answer any questions Iowa Wesleyan  students have and provide information about campus and academic life at IC, scholarships and financial aid, the transfer process, and more.

Evan Wilson '01, associate vice president of enrollment management, said Iowa Wesleyan students will have access to one-on-one counseling to customize a plan for finishing their degree at IC.

“We know that this is an important time for Iowa Wesleyan students as they consider where to continue their academic career and we want students to feel welcome at IC,” Wilson said. “We will ensure IW students who choose IC will have a smooth transfer process so they can continue their education uninterrupted and go on to do the amazing things they plan to do after graduation.”

Illinois College scholarships are renewable annually and eligibility for state and federal aid will be based on filing their FAFSA each year.
