Celebration of Excellence Schedule of Events | Friday, April 17, 2026
The daylong event brings together the community for a variety of activities throughout campus, like an honors convocation, music recital and student presentations of research and projects covering all areas of the liberal arts curriculum.
Students and faculty are awarded for excellence and innovation in academics, service and teaching. Recognition is given to the student marshals for the following year, seniors who qualify as Phi Beta Kappa graduates, the Julian Monson Sturtevant Campus Leadership Award winners, the Harry Joy Dunbaugh Distinguished Professor Award, and the Don P. Filson Faculty Award for Vision for the Future, and the Enkyklios Professor Award.

- 1 p.m. :: Theatre Presentations - ICEBOX Theatre, Kirby Learning Center

- 3 p.m. :: Honors Convocation - Sherman Gymnasium
- 3:45 p.m. :: Reception in Bruner Concourse
