Consumer Public Disclosures for Licensure Programs
:: Education Program ::
Illinois College’s programs that lead to licensure are listed below. Please see below for more details on the states where IC’s programs meet requirements for licensure and where they do not*.
IC’s Licensure Officer is available to help students determine if our programs meet requirements in the state where the student resides or wishes to practice. Staff can share the information we have on the path to licensure or certification that is available. IC’s licensure officer is Camille Mably and she can be reached at camille.mably@ic.edu.
Students are also encouraged to contact the appropriate credentialing agency or licensing board from the state in which they plan to practice to determine if their Illinois College program will qualify them for licensure or certification.
The information on this page was reviewed September 2024. State requirements may change and it is best to check the licensure and certification requirements directly on the state agency’s website.

:: Nursing ::
Illinois College’s nursing program has two tracks: 1) traditional or pre-licensure track, and 2) BSN to MSN track. Nursing licensure applies primarily to the traditional or pre-licensure track. The BSN to MSN track does not lead to additional licensure. The state licensing board (Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation’s Committee on Nursing) has the ultimate authority and discretion to determine if licensure (in Illinois) will be issued.
Illinois College’s BSN program is an approved program by the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation’s Committee on Nursing. The BSN to MSN track is not under the purview of IDFPR as it does not lead to additional licensure.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and the master’s degree program in nursing at Illinois College are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (ccneaccreditation.org).
Licensure requirements may vary among the states. For students from states other than Illinois intending to seek licensure in other state(s), or practice nursing in other state(s), it is important for students to know the specific requirements of the state in which they intend to apply for licensure. Students are highly encouraged to seek guidance from their nursing faculty advisor and from the appropriate licensing board/agency prior to enrolling in the nursing major.

In nursing, many states are “compact states” but Illinois is NOT a compact state. To see states and their compact status, use the following link:
